How AI padel analysis works
Here is what happens between the moment you scan the QR at a NetPlay court and the moment your match pack opens on your phone — the camera, the recording, the clips, the numbers, the review. No jargon, no magic.
It starts with a stable angle.
AI analysis is only as good as the footage. That is why NetPlay does not ask you to film: at a smart court there is one camera fixed on top of the back glass, centred on the court's own frame. One angle, the same every session, at 60 fps, Full HD — all four players and every rally.
Recording starts when the session is paid — €5 at the QR plate, a membership, or a split where everyone pays their share — and the camera records only the time you chose. Video only, no court audio.
What the AI does with the recording.
- Rallies
Finds the play
It separates the rallies from the pauses, so you can watch rallies only instead of the whole booking.
- Clips
Cuts the moments
It picks moments worth keeping and cuts them into highlight clips you can share, save or re-cut.
- Serves
Counts the serves
It counts how the first and second serves landed, by serving side — and leaves out any serve it cannot see clearly.
- Court maps
Maps the court
It draws where each player spent the match in their own half.
- Review
Reviews one player
For the player you pick, it writes a short game review from clips it can verify.
Some shots, not every shot.
The AI does not claim to read every shot in a match. It works from the moments it can see clearly and builds the review from those: a rough level, a shot profile across six skills, what is working, what to improve, one thing for your next match and a drill for the week.
If it cannot find enough evidence, it says so instead of making something up. The recording, clips and numbers are unaffected — and a longer match usually gives it enough to work with.
NetPlay only keeps a coaching point if it can point at the clip — and prove it is you.
About ten minutes later, on your phone.
The analysis starts as soon as the recording ends and your private match page fills in by itself — close it, and we email you when it's ready, usually about ten minutes after the last point.

Your match pack
- The full match recording camera quality, no overlay. Watch rallies only or the whole match
- Highlight clips cut from the match share them, save them to your photos, add five seconds or re-cut them
- Serve success how often the first serve went in, how often the second one saved the point, and double faults
- Court maps where each player spent the match, from behind their own half
- An AI game review for the player you pick a rough level, a six-skill shot profile, what works, what to improve and one drill for next time
Yours to keep and share.
Write a first name on each player's photo and it appears on every clip, stat and court map. Share a single clip or the whole match. Videos are kept for a limited number of days; the names, numbers and reviews stay. Members get every match saved to their account and can reopen any recording from any phone.
Your next match, on your phone.
