  1. The court camera's view

The start of a point in a doubles match.

  2. Four players tracked

James, Jonathan, Max and Patrick are found and named, and the court lines are mapped onto the video.

  3. Max serves

The serve is followed from the racket to where it lands.

  4. The rally

Each shot is tagged with who hit it — Jonathan's return, then Patrick, Jonathan and Max — and each landing the camera sees goes onto the shot map in the corner.

  5. The next point

Max serves again, and his first serve lands in.

  6. Serve success

Two serves, one from each side, both in: 100% of first serves in.

  7. Where the shots landed

The landings seen in the rally, on a court drawn from above.

  8. Where they played

Court maps for the near pair. James: mid-court, 93% of his time on the left — 1% at the net, 61% in the middle, 38% at the back. Jonathan: at the net, on the right — 50% at the net.

Counted, not guessed.

Every point starts with up to two serves. Your match page shows how often the first one went in, how often the second one saved the point, and the double faults — separately for each side you served from.

Next to it: where the shots landed, and a court map of where each player spent the match. Everything is read from the video; a serve the camera can't see clearly is left out rather than guessed.

  • Serve success: 1st serves in, 2nd serves that saved the point, double faults
  • Shot placement: where the shots landed
  • Court maps for every player
